Paula & Sharon,
Slinky is slowly making progress....he is " crawling" on his back legs...I have seen him try & push up a few times. He is making the walking motions while being walked with his sling. He still isn't flipping his toes back...I'm hoping in time that will come.

Shelley, oh boy, how wonderful to see Slinky following the textbook order of healing!! He got bladder control last week and you are now seeing nerves have healed enough to allow his legs to move. It is just so thrilling to see the body self heal. So he scoots with this legs behind him? How is that working... any rug or floor burns from doing that. This article has some suggestions for garment protection if you need them: www.dodgerslist.com/literature/AfterCrateRest.htmHere's what's next: 1. Deep Pain Sensation (Only correctly identified by a specialist.) 2. Tail wagging with joy at seeing you or getting a treat or meal. 3. Bladder and bowel control verified with the "sniff and pee" test. 4. Leg Movement, and then ability to move up into a standing position, <--Slinky is here
and then wobbly walking. 5. Being able to walk with more steadiness and properly place the feet. 6. Ability to walk unassisted and perhaps even run. Have patience, Slinky is doing very well!!!
