These are 2 videos of Chessnut. Second video is less than a month ago. Sorry about the second one, it is a sideways video. He has been doing so good. I know a lot of it is spinal walking. But I did take him in last month for his yearly shots and they said that his right back leg is responding to tests that they done. Left side not all at. It has been 2 and 1/2 years. This dog has never given up on anything.

Jami, thank you for updating us on Chessnut. He looks great and good to see how happy he is with his tail wags, I'm not so sure he is spinal walking. A dog that is spinal walking is only moving the back legs due to a reflex action, no brain control. So turning usually takes sitting down to then change direction. With brain control to give fine motor instructions to the legs the dog can go in curves or turns and remain upright. More on spinal walking here: www.dodgerslist.com/literature/IVDDcourse/spinal_walking.htmlMore on the return order of nerve functions: www.dodgerslist.com/literature/healingnerves.htmDoes Chessnut have bladder and bowel control?

Paula, no he does not have any control of bowel or bladder. We have not had any accidents in a long time. When I had him at the vet about a month ago, they are starting to see better results in his right rear leg. Left side no. He has always had great sphincter control of the anal area. I have been letting him go out in the grass more since he has been up on his feet more. He does smell a lot but so far he has not went on his own. Now at time I have noticed when he starts to get restless, I will check him anal area and he usually has to go. My friend can even tell that he is trying to use his back right leg more and has noticed more since we have moved in with my friend. I think he is doing wonderful. The only time he has been at the vet in the 2 and half years is to get his shots. I do range of motion on him daily. These dogs are just absolutely amazing. I tell people about him all the time and even my customers over the phone that have dogs. I have told them about your site. You guys have been so wonderful in the support you provide. Now how much is brochures cost to be sent to me so I can hand out at the vet?
Also Paula, you guys have my permission to use his videos in any way you want. I am so proud of them
