Hi Everyone, Love the new site! Congratulations! Just wanted to update everyone on Scooby Doo. He was a Conservative Treatment Case 3/19/2012. Graduation in May of 2012. Thank you all again for all the advice and help during his recovery. Conservative Treatment Rocks! It helped my Scooby Doo to walk again! Scooby has continued to be happy and healthy. Walking and running...but no jumping! He is a wonderful example of Conservative recovery methods espoused by the Dodgerslist and all the Mod's. We are using all precautions, covering slippery floors, no stairs, jumping up on the furniture...avoiding all the no no's. I have always watched the weight situation as well. I'm the only one is the house allowed to gain...lol. The "Scoobstah" is a happy dude and I pray he continues to be well. I have 3 other long & low babies and a Chi to try and keep in line. They are very clever, active little dachshunds. With love, a bit of luck and a watchful eye they will be fine as well. I have shared Dodgerslist info with several friends, my Vet and on Facebook too. We are so blessed to have the help and resource they provide. Thoughts and prayers to all who are in the recovery process and to the Mods and their help and expertise.

Anne, I agree this site is the best...now we feel we can communicate so much better here, see pictures of the pups and you guys too. I am so delighted you have posted about Scooby Doo in this spot. All of our new members just starting the journey will be very inspired from your remarks to know it will also be in the cards for their pups to get back to a joyous life whether walking or having a bit of assist from a wheelchair. It is heartening to know almost a year later Scooby is doing so well. We can't thank you enough, Anne, for helping us to educate. For anyone else wanting to do the same, please ask Linda Stowe for a packet of our free literature. I keep the little business sized cards on me to hand out when I'm waiting in line...you never know when you'll meet up with a small breed dog owner who are prone to this disease. www.dodgerslist.com/literature/litorder.htm aahhh.... that did not come out right...the dog is prone to IVDD. LOL We hope you will check in regularly to see if you can help out a new member in the Conservative section... you definitely know the ropes! Go Scooby, may you have many more wonderful years with your family!!!

Hooray for the Scoobstah!! Anne, we're so glad to hear that Scoob is loving life. His story is one that our members whose dogs are currently undergoing an IVDD episode need to hear. Thank you for posting. I know that you've given hope to others with your post. Hugs, ~Lisa
