Koozie is almost finished with her crate rest (April 20th). We're not sure if her doctor will extend it or not. She is doing quite well. She will stand in her crate, but one leg is still not quite ready to walk. I know when it's time we'll take her out of her crate rest gradually and hopefully that leg will regain strength. My question is, how will we know when/if she will need a cart? Can you use a cart if one leg is working and one is not? Thank you for your help!!

Georgie, glad to see you here on our new Forum. Doesn't time fly…graduation day on April 20th! Sounds like the better approach after graduation is with some water therapy. Depending on finances you can check in about underwater treadmill as that therapy can really expedite learning to walk again. Another approach would be at home water therapy with a child's $10 wading pool when the weather is warm enough. www.dodgerslist.com/literature/watertherapy.htm
