Just wanted to update and thank you for your information for the short time I was here. My Saydee girl passed this morning at home in my husbands arms. She apparently had developed Myelomalacia, her condition was worsening by the hour yesterday. On Monday we had tried changing her meds, as she did not seem comfortable and all that did was make her dopey. She still was not comfortable and last night her breathing became labored and got worse through the night. We had an appt this morning to put her to rest, but while my husband was getting ready for the appt he held her and she took her last breath. There are lots of details in between these last few days....but I am not up to talking about it all at this time.
Again, thank you all and I wish the very best for all of you and your beloved pets. Saydee will be missed beyond belief, we did everything we could and it was just her time to go.

Oh Misty, I am so sorry to hear that Saydee passed away. Myelomalacia is a disease that can follow on the heals of any spinal injury. You did all you could for her, may she rest in peace. My sincere condolences to you and your hubby. Hugs, ~Lisa

So sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you...it is so very hard to lose a pet, they become family members.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I know how this hurts. We lost our 9year old lab to liver cancer 6 months ago. I'm so sorry for your loss. (((hugs)))
