LOL! Absolutely LOVE the photo! Congratulations, Maria Rose - you did it! And you, too, Eileen. Congratulations on doing such a great job in caring for Maria Rose. Now, take it easy, you two! Maria Rose's muscles and stamina need to be gradually built up. Here's a schedule that was really helpful to me when my Jeremy graduated from his crate rest: www.dodgerslist.com/literature/AfterCrateRest.htmAll the best to you both.

It is heartbreaking to see so many little pups having episodes of IVDD. I really do not know how the moderators on this site keep up. My head spins to see so many. I just wanted to say Thank You so much for being here. Even those of us who have been through this before welcome the calm counsel this place gives us when we too come in frantic and scared. God Bless all the pups and their families as they go through this very scary experience. There is light at the end of this very spooky tunnel and we have reached it now, ....twice! Since our 'storm' is over and Maria Rose is back to her old snugly self I wanted to let everyone know Maria continues to do well, she loves her freedom and 'tis true..... crate rest was a blip in the screen!

Yes, you're certainly right about that, Eileen! I hope you'll stay with our forum and when you have a moment, pay it forward by encouraging other members as they go through their journeys with IVDD and to share the knowledge that you have gained. We always can use that kind of help here. And be sure to order some literature from Linda to hand out to other dog owners, vets, etc. to help spread the word that there is light at the end of the tunnel and these dogs can go on to live happy lives.
May Maria Rose have many happy, disc-free years ahead of her. All the best to you both.

It really does mean nothing now doesn't it? I feel like each day when I see Mimi playing with a toy, or walking up my body when I am on the couch just so she can lick my face and lay on my shoulder, it makes the 10 weeks we went through totally worth it So glad Maria is doing so well.
