Hi Marjorie ,yes chloe moves a bit in her cart, it has 4 wheels because we don't think she's strong enough to use just two.she doesn't drag herself at all she can't even pull herself up. I also put her in the tub with her life jacket and she's getting so much better at pushing off with her legs .i wish she would try to move a bit on her own? but maybe like you said it taks time.im trying everything I can to help her.but just talking to you and everyone else hear helps me get by thank you ! If you have any more ideas please let me know

Cindy, what does Chloe think about her travels outside with the wheelchair... does she enjoy sniffing and a bit of movement to take her a few steps or many steps?
I know you had tried underwater treadmill some months past. But now that you see she can move her legs in the tub, pushes off. Is there a different PT clinic in your area? Another PT person with different ideas, different personality may be a match for Chloe. And another try at underwater treadmill may have a chance now that you've been working with Chloe in the tub and she is more used to that now.

There's to much snowhere in Chicago for Chloe to go outside with her cart we haven't tried that yet just in the house I don't know if there's any more underwater therapytreadmill places around here I'm almost afraid to try it again because we have to buy a Package and if she doesn't like it then I'm stuck with 400 and some dollars worth of time.I do walk Chloe she has a special leash with two leads one to hold her back up and want to hold her front up and she does get along pretty well with that but like I said there's a foot of snow out there now so and it's very cold we're kind of up the creek here right now LOL

Well, you might check, have a conversation, that Chole did not do well first time with water treadmill. But now months later with the changes you see, the practice in being in water, can they give you a introductory one time try to see if it is worthwhile to buy a whol package. Everything is open to negotiate.....just have to ask and present your case.

Cindy, thank you for uploading a photo of Chloe's new wheels! Does the wheelchair have a feature for her legs to be off of the stirrups so she can move her legs to the degree possible inside the house? Does she take some steps towards the incentive of dinner time and the food bowls? Tell us a bit more how Chloe uses the wheelchair in the house, as part of her PT now that she has had it for several weeks.

Hi Paula actually her legs are down we don't have them up in the stirrups we didn't put the stirrups on so her legs are down and she does pushoff with them when she feels like it and she does come to get her food she can move it not a whole lot because wheelchair is a little heavy and she's week but she does move it and she will come to get her food or come by me.I don't keep her in it for very long when I'm at work she's just on the ground on her blanket but when I get home I put her in it for a little while but she's not running around the house on it. She has moved a little bit on the carpet but that's much harder for her it's going to take her a while to get used to the cart but it does help in her PT.i'm hoping her front get stronger and we can take the front wheels off because that would lighten it up quite a bit but for now we keep it on ,one day at a time.
