[Original Subject Bathing]
My dog had IVDD surgery in 9/2015. She fought her way to be able to walk after 6 weeks. She has done well but needs frequent bathing of her back legs due to partial incontinance. What is best product to keep back legs clean and urine free. She seems to need more bathing as she gets older and don’t want to irritate skin. Thanks. Judy Smith

Glad to hear that your dog has regained her ability to walk after her surgery.
The product we have found works best for cleaning is decaf green tea. Green tea is very soothing to the skin. Brew a cup a green tea, cool it down and dampen a washcloth with the green tea. Use the washcloth to wipe your dog down. Green tea neutralizes urine on skin and fur to avoid rashes from urine scald and leaves a nice clean fragrance.
Would you be willing to share more of your dog's IVDD history with us? By telling our IVDD stories, we can educate other pet parents just starting to learn about IVDD.
