Hello all, Just wanted to share some updates after 10 months of Mel's surgery. Honestly, didn't think she was ever going to walk again after the surgery... but there you go, she's much better!! Her left leg is still weaker than her right leg, but she can on walks comfortably. We are doing treadmill exercises at home (3x week) and controlling her weight (she's 9kg now). Thanks for all the valuable information on this forum, so encouraging for everyone who has a dog with IVDD. Cheers, Natalia

Wow, look at her moving along! Thank you for this very encouraging update, Natalia. Yes, nerves can heal and many dogs often surprise their owners and vets. I know with my own dog, Jeremy, I saw nerve improvement for over a year following surgery.
Keep up the good work with Mel and please continue to keep us updated. We always love hearing from our Dodgerslist graduates.
Many blessings to you both.
