I read somewhere that sardines is a natural Anti-Inflammatory, but I don't recall if the article said how much to feed your FurBaby daily. AND of course, I don't remember where I read the article...anyone out there know anything or where I could find out???

Yes, you're right - sardines do have anti-inflammatory properties. One water packed sardine a day is recommended for IVDD dogs. Here's the article on Dodgerslist with some other supplement recommendations: www.dodgerslist.com/literature/Supplements.htm

I think sardines have natural sodium that you can't avoid. You just don't want to buy the kind with added salt, which you've done, so that's fine.

Ok, I have another question about the sardines...Back in the day, and I won't say much more (otherwise I'll give away my age) lol, but you could get a can of sardines and it had 10 or 12 fish in it...not now..there are 3...lol, so is the recommendation still 1 sardine a day for the inflammation? Back then you could also get them a lot cheaper.. Anyways. I am giving Angel 1 a day, and wanting to know if I should cut them in half since they are HUGE...Thanks for your time and patience with me..

Haven't heard how your girls are doing. I have been giving my dachshunds (Daphne and Bandit) a half sardine everyday. Yeah, they are $1.00 for about 4 and they don't have them at Costco. So I might just be giving them fish oil capsules. Anyway, just wondering how things are going.

The girls are doing GREAT, although I did find a tick on Lacey yesterday...GROSS.. I bout puked.. No fleas though, I am REALLY impressed with this Natural "stuff" Pauliana recommended. It has been really hot and Humid...well let me change that to...We have had bout 3 weeks of really hot and humid weather, then it was rather chilly for the end of July early August, now we are back to hot and humid...CRAZY stuff. Anyways, I found 1 flea, used the Borax as instructed, did outside, and give them the Flea Free Daily...GREAT STUFF!!! Going to change Angel to half sardine then too, they are HUGE!!! How's Daphne doing???
