This is an update to Harry's surgery two years ago. He has done well since the surgery and continues to live a healthy, happy life. Like many of you it was a rough start with crate rest, worry, limited activity, worry and all the rest that went along with the recovery period. I had help and that was Dodgerslist, the moderators and the rest of the Doxies families going through the same thing. Could not have done it without them. Harry's neurosurgeon, Dr. David Geiger is leaving the Bay area to begin a new practice in Algodones, New Mexico in September. It is the Bay Area's lose and New Mexico's gain. I highly recommend him. Harry has continued to see him on a regular basis and if I can possibly get him to New Mexico next June I will. My prayers are with you all and our fur babies be healthy. Harry's Mom Margaret

Hi Margaret, welcome to the new Dodgerslist forum!
Delighted to hear how well Harry is doing! I wasn't a moderator when you and Harry went through his IVDD surgery but I much agree with you how much Dodgerslist helps. They were there for me when Tyler had his surgery this past January..
Stop by the topic Guidelines, Vet recommendations and add your Vet that's moving to New Mexico.. That would be a help to any members that need a IVDD vet in that area. Sorry to hear he is leaving your area though.
Feel free to join in and share your experience with the newer members that are in the early stages of dealing with IVDD. It helps them to hear of a successful recovery..
