Has anyone here had to kennel their dog while they were on crate rest so they could go on vacation?? We are leaving for vacation and will a kennel take him since he's on crate rest only? I can't cancel the vacation as it's paid for and we have no family that will take the dog.

Please let us know where you live so we can see if any members or staff know of any IVDD knowledgeable boarding facilities or people that would be willing to care for your dog in your area.
Your Veterinary office would be a good place to check with too.

As Pauliana suggested checking with your vets office is a good idea. My vets office has boarding available. Years ago it was just a basic kennel and out to potty a few times a day but now it's a full scale facility with a play yard and lots of time outdoors and with staff or other dogs. Much more appealing most of the time! However, if your dog is on crate rest anyway all you need is the basics and having him at your vets office in the event of a setback while you are gone would give you added peace of mind. Never hurts to ask.
