As you all know Shelby is done crate rest even though she still likes it in there well she is walking with no problem and she likes to take off running but I try to keep her from doing this and I Thank GOD for this site as I would have ended up putting her down if it had not of been for Dodgerslist they were there with me all the way holding Shelby and I up so now she is a healthy walking doggie even if she never have walked again she would have still been with me all the way we would have gotten wheels but as long as she was not in pain so do not ever give up folks

Erin, it's so good to hear from you. Glad to hear Shelby is doing well! Walking is a great activity for IVDD dogs. It is best to use a harness and leash so that she doesn't take off and get into trouble, lol! Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm with our members. You and Shelby are a wonderful IVDD Success Story! It is true, even if she remained paralyzed, she would simply use a cart to get around and would enjoy life as usual. yes I have some of the pamplets and im planning to give them to the vets in the area thanks
