Mr. Otis is now doing much better and is walking very well! He is finished with PT and cage rest. His hair is taking a very long time to grow back. We took him in to have his urine retested and it was abnormally high in protein. We gotten more tests done and he will start on a medication tomorrow. Hopefully we can get it under control. At least he isnt in pain and his back is healed. Thanks for all the help that everyone has been through this very long road. This was the hardest thing Ive ever gone through but having such a great wealth of knowledge was so helpful!

Emily, this disc episode was a challenge. I'm so glad to hear Mr Otis IS back! Congratuations on his graduation and hope the protein levels will be back under control too.

I have a basset also (a mix). He had his surgery July 1. How is Mr. Otis doing now? Is he walking on his own or do you use a sling?
