Hello, I hope I am doing this correctly. I post this question on the old site. Update and question on Bojangles. He is doing great. Walking and back to enjoying life. I have a question on your idea of using a thunder shirt on a dog with IVDD. I order one and put it on him for a few minutes to see if he would calm down. It seem to work. I would like to use this maybe when company is coming over, taking him for a walk, or when I know he will be excited. He is a very active dog, barking, running, jumping up at feeding time he is also very hard to walk outside. The list can go on and on. I already tried Composure, Resque Remedy without and great result.Have you heard of anyone using one before. Thanks Jan

Hi,
Its called a Thunder shoot a pickle! suppose to be a safe to use it apply a gentle, constant pressure on the dog torso having a calming effect. I wanted to check to see if this would be ok to use on Bojangles who has IVDD, had surgery a year ago 2012 and seem to have another issue last july 2012 and again in nov 2012. So far he is doing great again but way to hyper. I bought mine on Amazon for 39.99 plus tax. Just waiting to see if I can use it.

Hi Jan, I have seen the Thunder shirt even though I've never had to use one. From what we've read and heard, sometimes they work and sometimes not. I would be very cautious to use one on an IVDD dog and especially during an episode and since Bo has had several episodes, I would be even more reluctant. I wouldn't want anything pushing or compressing the spine.
Love the name Bojangles. I had a wire called Bojangles several years ago.
