Linda I have no idea what I am doing in regards to the web site and how to get around. I am just trying this as it is the only one I can get to open. I would love to share my experiences about Harry and his recovery and to hear of those going through the nightmare of it all. He is doing very well. His neurosurgeon moved from San Francisco to New Mexico to start a new practice in an area between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. San Francisco's loss. Harry and I both have developed this attachment that makes it hard for me to leave him. You just can't leave these dogs with anyone. You must make sure they are safe and the person caring for them is knowledgable of the disease and care. I hope this is vieweed by you. I will tell anyone Dodgerlist Harry's life and mine. Margaret

Hi Margaret, welcome to Dodgers List, I am happy that you found us. We would love for you to share Harry's story with us. We love to hear about successess and help any way that we can with any troubles that someone and their dog may be having. Your experiences can be so helpful to anyone going through the IVDD journey. I totally understand about the separation anxiety (mine) when I have to leave Stevie. I just have to remind myself that she is in a safe place - she is in an expen when we aren't home, and that I do have someone come in in the middle of a work day to take her and her sisters outside for a potty break and a treat. Please keep us posted - we want to learn all about Harry!

Hi Margaret, Glad you found us here. Wonderful to have the update on Harry and know that he is doing so well. I understand how hard it is to leave them with someone else. I've always used a licensed vet tech to stay with mine. My vet always knew what my wishes were and the tech knew who to take them too if there was a problem. I always had them checked every four hrs. A little pricey, but it was worth the peace of mind.
Please tell Harry's story here so everyone can read.
Hugs Linda
