4AP and T-Butyl We have become aware in the past few months some vets using a new drug called 4AP www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4281252/ As is Dodgerslist practice we contacted the researcher to get more information. The researcher also included some of her own observations: 1. It is used on chronically paralyzed dogs. 2. It is not a therapy for dogs that are on a normal recovery trajectory. 3. Having used it extensively since my trial, the proportion of dogs that get benefit from it has remained the same…..it is not a miracle drug but can help some a little and its possible side effects must be taken seriously - appropriate dose titration is necessary!
