Welcome Paula! We are glad you have joined the Forum. It is still quite early in the nerve healing department. Having bladder control and some movement in the back leg, gives good indications for more nerve healing to come. Over all sounds as though you are doing good PT for Golliath's legs and his meds keep him pain free. With there being some leg movement underwater treadmill can have a real impact in triggering muscles to spinal cord to brain stimulation. Water bouyancy makes it easier than leg movements against gravity and for nerve to muscle re-education to learn the art of walking again: If you need a few ideas to make the 4 weeks of rest (+ surgeon-directed PT) go smoother, check out these tried and true member tips: dodgerslist.com/2020/05/14/strict-rest-recovery-process/Is there some specific aspect of Goliath's care, progress, etc, that you'd like to ask a question about?

Hello Paula Thank you so much for your welcome and swift response. I have no questions at the moment and am utilising the website to garner as much knowledge as I can (so some may possibly arise). I am currently awaiting a consultation for treadmill hydro and physiotherapy so look forward to progressing with Goliath's recovery. I will be sure to check back in with any issues that may present themselves. Thank you once again for your offered support (and for this amazing font of knowledge ). Kind regards, Paula
