I am very happy to hear how well Stassie is doing. No one can tell how long it takes for a dog to progress in healing. This varies from dog to dog.
After surgery sometimes dogs cannot walk on slippery surfaces that have no traction. This was the case with my dog Frankie after his surgery. I had wood floors throughout my house and he could not walk on them. I got carpet runners and put them all over the house. Some of our members have used little socks with non slip bottoms and some have tried booties. See if any of these work for you.
I think it would be fine to train Stassie on the ramp just be watchful.
To help with her balance you can try setting up a small obstacle course with objects very low to the ground she could step over. I did this at home with my dog and I believe it helped.

Hello again! Later this month Stassie will be hitting her 6 month mark after surgery. I am so proud of how far she has come! She is walking better and getting stronger every day. The main thing we are working on is her getting complete bladder and bowel control. She is doing great with bladder control, she never pees in the house and is going more on her own outside.
However, since she is prone to UTI's, I am still doing a quick express after she goes on her own.
The main issue we are facing is bowel control. Since she is still weak in her back end, there are times where she will poop in the house while laying down, as if she does not even feel it. She will occasionally go outside and supports herself well- but still has accidents inside uncontrollably. We are trying to use positive reinforcements and reward her for going outside, but I know there are still times she can help. Is it common for an IVDD pup to have most of their bladder control return but not bowel control?
Also, we bought some non-slip socks for her to wear to protect her feet outside and they work great! We are still working on training her on the ramp, but she is doing extremely well with not jumping. Besides the bowel control, the only other issue we are facing is keeping her active. She went up to 25 lbs after her surgery so as recommended by our vet, we have reduced her daily feeding amount some to try and get her back around 22 lbs.

I am happy to hear how far Stassie has come.
My dog Frankie recovered both bowel and bladder control after his surgery. However, the bowel control took months longer to return. It was the same type of situation. He would poop laying down and then look at in surprise. He absolutely could not help it. I thought maybe bowel control would never return but it did. The same may happen with Stassie.
Slow and steady is the way to go with weight loss. Now that she is more active she should begin to gradually lose weight.
