State: Texas
Hospital: Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital (CTVSH)
Address: 4434 Frontier Trl, Austin, TX 78745
Cost: $3439.92
Date of surgery: 12/09/2015
What was included in cost: Surgeon Consultation Exam; CT with Myelogram; Hemilaminectomy Surgery including anesthesia; 1 night in ICU; 1 regular hospitalization night; All Medications in hospital & take home; 1 sling; Discharge instructions & bladder expression lesson from nurse; 2-week follow-up with surgeon & suture removal; Consultation with Rehab Department
1/2 of estimated cost of surgery to be paid up front with remaining balance paid upon hospital discharge; Care Credit is accepted, but we did not use it.
Comments: Dr. Krista Adamovich, DVM, DACVS, was Maxie’s surgeon. She was the surgeon we had a consultation with in April 2015. We were lucky to be assigned to her when we had our emergency in December 2015. She is very straight forward and honest. She was great with Maxie on the follow-up; getting down on the ground with her to remove her sutures. She also checked on Maxie numerous times throughout the rehab process and responded whenever we thought Maxie might have an issue or pain. That is a definite advantage to having a rehab department at the hospital. Physical therapy at CTVSH is extra; prices range from $60, $70, or $75 per session, depending on what is being done. They do have a water treadmill and laser therapy.
