Shirley, I am sorry to hear about Bailey. I recently joined this group after my Izzy became paralyzed in her back legs. Unfortunately, our situation was very different. You can see our post from Sunday dodgerslist.boards.net/thread/1355/jills-izzy-13-conservative-ripI am responding to you because I am in Dallas, ga, about 20 min from douglasville. We have a wonderful vet who provided aggressive treatment for izzy from the moment we brought her in. Little did we know that she would be one of the rare cases impacted by Myelomalacia. That is no fault of our vet. We see Dr Clay Leathers at New Hope Animal Hospital, Dallas, GA (770)485-1536 newhopeanimalhospital.vetsourcecms.com/His wife, Dr Valerie Leathers used to work at a vet in Douglasville but I'm not sure if she's still there now or only at the New Hope clinic. Either way, they are both excellent. Understand that your pets are your family, take their time to learn the history and provide a thorough explanation of what is going on and give proper treatment options. If you want to discuss with me privately, you are more than welcome to email me (go to profile info) and I can give you my phone number or discuss anything with you. I'll be glad to help in any way that I can.
